Non-Medical Job Profiles
Logisticians
Logisticians provide support to MSF's medical programs. They coordinate the purchase and transportation of supplies, both locally and internationally; oversee transportation and communications equipment use and maintenance; and supervise local non-medical staff. Their duties include frequent interaction with local authorities and organisations. In some cases, the positions of logistician and administrator are combined.
Essential criteria:
- Experience as a manager, foreman or team leader
- Technical skills and experience in at least four of the following areas:
- Supply management
- Construction
- Vehicle mechanics
- Simple water and sanitation systems
- Pump and generator maintenance
- Radio and communication equipment
- Computer equipment
- Basic bookkeeping
Water and Sanitation Specialists
There are a limited number of positions available for experienced water and sanitation engineers. They are responsible for the design and management of relevant technical project and must have formal training or extensive work experience in their area of speciality.
Essential criteria:
- Higher education in Civil Engineering, Water and Sanitation, Land and Water Management (preferably international) or related education
- Extensive work experience in the area of speciality
Financial Controllers
Positions are available for Financial Controllers who are responsible for project bookkeeping, budget control, financial reporting, and human resources management for international volunteers and local staff.
Essential criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Financial administration (accounting and reporting)
- Financial management (planning and budget control)
- Minimum of higher vocational training (i.e. CA, CPA)
- Demonstrable experience with administrative organisation.
- Familiarity with Human Resources management and policy principles
- Demonstrable experience in training/supervising others
N.B. All non-medial candidates have to do a technical test during the intake procedure. |
