Anaesthetist

During conflicts and their aftermath, Anaesthetists are needed for assignments generally lasting from six weeks to three months or more. Responsibilities include providing anaesthesia, pain management, training and supervising of local staff, reporting, and at times assisting the ICU.

 

 Essential Criteria 

  • Specialisation in Anaesthesia like MD, Diploma, DNB, etc.
  • Registration in Medical Council as Anaesthesia Specialist
  • Experience in paediatrics, obstetrics, trauma anaesthesia and dissociation anaesthesia (i.e. Ketamine)
  • Extensive experience in spinal anaesthesia
  • Availability for minimum of 6-12 weeks
  • Availability to work at short notice
  • Ability to work with limited resources
  • Ability to work in unstable environments
  • Adaptable and able to work in a team
  • Flexible and able to manage stress
  • Ability to provide training and supervision to others
