MAY 2020

The rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 positive people is creating a huge burden on the medical facilities in India. To fight this ongoing pandemic, MSF teams are setting up a 100-bed COVID-19 treatment facility in Patna, Bihar. This facility will help in decongesting the government hospitals to allow better care for the patients most severely affected by COVID-19.

Revolting attack on MSF’s maternity ward
On 12 May 2020, an unknown number of attackers stormed MSF's maternity ward in Dasht-e-Barchi hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan through a series of explosions and gunfire, lasting for hours. While pregnant women and babies were seeking healthcare, these attackers stormed the maternity ward. We are devastated after this sickening attack on pregnant women, mothers and their babies.

Katherine Doucette, Mental Health Activity Manager at the MSF SGBV clinic in Delhi is facing a similar situation. She offers the tips and tricks she practices to boost her mental health. They can be useful to you also.
